What qualities make someone particularly successful in the field in which you teach?
Understanding the differences between nursing research and the EBP paradigm. In addition, when working with children and families, a caregiver must have a caring and compassionate approach at all times.
What do you think is the biggest challenge that people in the profession face today?
COVID-19.

Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students might not know about you:
I was told by my high school counselor that I could not be a nurse based on my ACT scores. The best profession for me would be to become a secretary.
What do you want students in your courses to learn? What is the learning outcome or objective?
Learning outcome: students will discuss the importance of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in healthcare, implement and evaluate the EBP process leading to change in organizational systems for the health and well-being of patients, visitors, staff, educators and leaders.
