Why did you start teaching?
I love to share with other people information and experiences I know—and learn the same things from them. It is a great feeling to see that you can change young people's lives by opening new windows of opportunities for them.
What advice would you give to those considering an online program?
You need to be self-disciplined and follow the deadlines of the projects closely. Participate actively in every online discussion or group project and learn as much as you can from your peers.
What qualities make someone particularly successful in information systems?
Working in groups and learning to effectively communicate with each other. Information systems projects are very expensive and last several years. Learning on how to work in teams is a must.
What do you think is the biggest challenge that people in the profession face today?
Skills in Information Systems change very frequently. Going back to training is a challenge in the long run.
What is the one book you think everyone should read?
"The World Is Flat" by Thomas L. Friedman.
