Technical Support

The Office of Information Technology provides a wide range of services to the NKU community. Technology is a fundamental component of university life and is particularly important to the delivery of instruction and the online learning experience.

The goal of the office is to empower and serve the University community through accessible, collaborative, innovative, and advanced technology solutions that provide an enriching academic experience to our students and to strengthen the ability to educate the public we serve.

IT Help Desk hours are:
Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday: 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 12:30 p.m. to midnight

IT Help Desk hours may vary during holiday, winter, spring, and summer breaks.

Library

NKU online students have access to the vast resources within the W. Frank Steely Library, which strives to provide the academic community with the information required for intellectual, professional, and personal development.

For assistance with access to library materials, you can chat live with a staff member or call 859-572-5457. You can also fill out an online form with reference questions for a librarian.

Financial Aid

Students are encouraged to work closely with the Office of Student Financial Assistance as they explore options in meeting the costs of an online education.

Graduation Information

Students completing their online degree program should take the following steps prior to graduation:

  1. Submit Application for Degree Candidacy. Complete online via your myNKU account. For step-by-step instructions, see: Quick Reference Guide: How to Apply for Graduation. Also, read through the Graduation Requirement Details and Graduation Checklist.
  2. Submit Program Certification forms for each major, minor, and/or focus to the Office of the Registrar. College of Business majors who have already certified do not need to do so again. Graduate students: Your advisor or program coordinator will submit your Program Certification directly to the Office of Graduate Education.
  3. Pay graduation fee online via myNKU.
  4. Complete Senior Survey after receiving email notification from the Office of Institutional Research. Information is available on the Senior Survey web page.
