  • Pay $40 non-refundable application fee
    • If you are an NKU alumni or active/veteran military member, your application fee will be waived
  • Bachelor’s degree (at minimum) with official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) coursework from accredited institutions
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA

Unique challenges and limitations imposed by regulatory bodies and other considerations factor into marketing healthcare related products and services. This course uses case studies and projects to enable marketing plan development responsive to legal and regulatory constraints, clinical evidence requirements, and reimbursement implications for pricing and product design.

Duration: 7 weeks   |   Credit Hours: 3

Systematically examines successes and failures in product development across a spectrum of health care companies to provide the skills needed to move ideas to market with an increased likelihood of success.

Duration: 7 weeks   |   Credit Hours: 3

Focuses on mastering the complex symptomatic, diagnostic, operative, and therapeutic medical terms critical to success in the health care field.

Duration: 7 weeks   |   Credit Hours: 3

Putting theory into practice, students work in teams under faculty supervision to provide the analysis needed to move a new or proposed medical product to the next development stage. Expected products include competitive assessments, a value proposition framework, a customer input plan, proposed pricing, and an evidence generation plan.

Introduction to health economics focuses on using the tools of microeconomic analysis to understand behavior by consumers, producers and insurers in health care markets. The tools of microeconomic analysis will also be applied to current policy problems, and supported with analyses of publicly available data sources.

Advanced operations management approaches to quality; process and productivity improvement in health care organizations; use of case studies, exercises, and/or term projects to show application of management and quantitative concepts.
